Project (CD) Title.......

Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.: Martin Luther King Jr.

I am calling on all Musicians, Songwriters, Poets & Storytellers to contribute your talents and energy to help create an album (CD) of music which will allow the listeners to realize how senseless it is to hate and fear those who are not like themselves.

I also call on those in the industry who will contribute their marketing/distribution skills and knowledge.

And finally, I call on the graphic artists willing to contribute their talents to the creation of the liners and packaging of the CD.

Recording Has Begun!!!

I, John Mahoney, will be contributing all the in house studio recording, production, editing, mixing and mastering time for this project.

All proceeds (with one exception) from the sale of this CD will go to those organizations who assist those who have been treated negatively due to their skin color, beliefs, sexual orientation or origin. Also, organizations who protect animals. (the one exception is the cost of duplication/replication)

Listed here are all the details you should be aware of concerning this album project. I list them in no particular order.

This is a professional project.
As usual, we must leave our personal needs and egos behind. Thank you.
Most of the songs to be chosen will be songs which have sale-able qualities (mass appeal). Remember, this is an album which brings Acceptance into the light of day. We want this CD to sell, sell, sell, then we can move the proceeds to those organizations who really make a difference.
Poets & story tellers...your talents are very welcome to this project. Poems and stories will be included in this CD. Please keep them short...1 - 4 minutes in length.
This CD will be almost 80 minutes in length.
Each artist who's work is utilized in this project will be given written credit in the liner notes. Also, for those who's music or song is utilized, you will be given a CD master to use as you wish.
Whether your local or not, your passion about Acceptance and helping others to understand through Music, Poetry and Story will be welcome. Please call or e-mail me so we can discuss what you would like to present. My e-mail address and phone number are at the bottom of this page.
If you are not local (Phoenix AZ area) we will work out how to get the recording(s) done through communications of all kinds.
Songwriters...If you have a song that you feel will add to this project, please e-mail me a rough MP3 of your song with chords and lyrics. I'll professionally record the song utilizing professional local musicians.
Musicians (non song writers)...you will not be left out. Let me know what you play. If possible send an MP3 of what you play. I'll do all I can to match you up with song.
I will copyright the entire CD as a compilation work. All artists who's work is utilized in this project, will have permission to use your contribution(s) as you wish. If your song, lyrics, graphics etc. are currently copy-written, I'll need your written permission to use in this project.
The organizations that will benefit from this project have not all been selected as of yet. I would like your input in this selection process. The organizations do need to be legitimate non-profit type organizations that educate and or assist those who are marginalized in society.

Progress To Date

I've been given the names of 4 charities that I will look into. As I approve the charities, there info will be posted.
We have 19 songs so far. 16 of them to be produced.
We have 5 spoken word entries to be produced.

Yoomee Adventures, teaches bully/teasing/acceptance awareness and presents books and music at no cost to schools, libraries and children's hospitals.
Just One Voice, Just One Voice is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of people in Kenya and other developing countries.
